This Colt Third Generation Sheriff’s Model Single Action Army is a compact and highly desirable variation of the legendary Peacemaker revolver. Manufactured in 1980 and chambered in .44-40 W.C.F., this revolver features the distinctive 3-inch barrel configuration that defines the Sheriff’s Model series. Built without an ejector rod housing, these revolvers offer a sleek, fast-handling profile inspired by special-order Colts carried in the American West.

This example remains in exceptional as-new condition, retaining approximately 99% of its original Colt blue finish along with vivid case-hardened frame colors. The hammer and trigger retain their original blue finish while the hammer sides remain polished bright in traditional Colt fashion. Mechanically, the revolver appears excellent with matching numbered components throughout and a clean bore showing little to no evidence of use.

The revolver is fitted with smooth replacement buffalo horn grips accented by silver Rampant Colt medallions. The grips remain in excellent condition and provide a distinctive custom appearance, though they fit slightly proud at the grip frame bases.
